The National Sports Centre accommodates two large sports halls suitable for various sporting needs. There are six recently refurbished glass back squash courts and the Islands only indoor bowls hall. There are two swimming pools at the NSC  - the competition pool is an 8 lane, 25m pool with a floating beam down the middle.

The NSC has recently added the new Bowl 3000 seat fully floodlit stadium to its facilities, with a Lano Sports Rugby MXSi20 65 IS 25 synthetic pitch. This is a 65mm synthetic surface with a rubber infill approved for rugby and football use. The stadium has a full size football pitch with goals, 2 junior football pitches with goals as well as 2 team dugouts. Toilets and changing rooms are provided within the facility.

Completing the outdoor facilities is an 800m fully lit tarmac raceway, which forms the perimeter of the outdoor provision and provides a competition and training facility for cycling criterium racing, race walkers and road runners

The athletics stadium has a 400m, 6 lane fully floodlit synthetic running track over viewed by a 500 seat grandstand. The track has a current UK Athletics certificate. Equipment is provided which meets all UKA and some IAAF standards, including an 11m hammer/discus cage (with wheelchair ground fittings), javelin area, 2 double runway jump pits, 2 grass shot put areas (1 with wheelchair ground fittings), new international pole vault area, full steeplechase with water jump and 2 portable athlete shelters.

Alongside the stadium is a full size floodlit synthetic pitch. The pitch is available for club and public hire for hockey and football with both full size and junior pitches subject to the program.

The Fitness Zone consists of a gym and spa. The gym boasts a selection of cardiovascular machines, weighted machines and a free weight area, providing you with equipment to suit all of your health and fitness goals. The spa, adjacent to the gym, holds two sauna cabins and a steam room as well as a whirlpool jacuzzi.  

The outdoor facilities are serviced by toilets within the main athletics track grandstand with disabled access, along with a separate building with 4 group changing rooms with shower areas, disabled toilets, baby changing facilities and a first aid room for events. There are coin return lockers in each of the large rooms for personal belongings.

The Island also has smaller outdoor complexes providing over 45 good quality grass pitches and 8 artificial pitches.
